Firefighters Charged in Grass Fire
On the afternoon of Thursday April 19, 2012 members of the North Kawartha Fire Department responded to a grass fire near the Wolf Lake public access boat launch, south west of Apsley.
The firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze which consumed approximately two acres of bush at a cost in excess of $3700 in equipment and manpower. [...]

The Parks and Recreation Department has secured the Apsley Central Public School Gymnasium for Youth & Adult Volleyball for Thursday evenings. The adult volleyball is well attended, However the Youth volleyball is still striving for more participants.
